Customer Service & Administration at MinuteClinic

MinuteClinic has seen more than three million patients since we opened our first clinic in 2000 and because our patient base continues to grow, MinuteClinic has a need for a variety of patient service and administration professionals. Whether you are representing MinuteClinic to answer our patients' many medical, financial or insurance questions, or working directly with our insurance payers to allow more patients to be able to access our high-quality care, these roles are essential to maintaining our exceptionally high patient satisfaction rates and ultimately, the success of our organization.

Customer Service & Administration in Pharmacy Benefit Management

Customer Service & Administration positions within our pharmacy benefit management (PBM) division offer a range of opportunities to interact with our members, clients and internal colleagues via phone, e-mail or the Web. With more than 350 different jobs in our Customer Service and Administration areas, positions include, but are not limited to Administrative Assistant, Benefits Research, Claims Processor, Reimbursement, Medical Billing and Collections, Print Production and Support. While all positions have an impact on the quality of health care we offer our participants, the day-to-day functions will vary based on the role.

As part of Customer Service & Administration, we also have dedicated Customer Care Call Centers located in Phoenix, Ariz.; Lee's Summit, Mo.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Nashville, Tenn.; Richardson, Texas; and San Antonio, Texas. Our Customer Care team provides Participant/Member Support via phone, e-mail and Web providing accurate and timely information in a hassle-free experience ensuring patient safety and confidentiality, all while demonstrating courtesy, empathy and ownership. They also provide direct Client Support dedicated to implementation, training and problem resolution. And, they serve as a Pharmacy Helpdesk for a network of more than 60,000 pharmacies in support of participant retail benefits. Our Customer Care teams are critical, as their engagement and interaction sets the tone for how clients and participants view our company and service.

While the titles and daily tasks differ, Customer Service & Administration positions share the same mission - to improve the lives of those we serve.

Customer Service & Administration in Retail Pharmacy

Our Customer Service colleagues in retail pharmacy perform a number of critical functions in our corporate headquarters in Woonsocket, R.I., and in various field offices. These functions include providing service to retail pharmacy customers, performing select customer service and market research functions, and providing general administrative support to departments and Managers.

These colleagues work in a Call Center environment and focus on responding to phone and e-mail customer inquiries about store service, product pricing, new items, advertised items, in-stock items and company programs. Although most questions are answered at the time of inquiry, for others, the colleagues collect information from the customer and research the requested information or refer the inquiry to a subject matter expert within the company. Responses to customer inquiries are tracked and reported. The team also collects market information on customer satisfaction from various sources and produces general reports that measure the company's results for meeting customer expectations.

Our Administrative colleagues typically support small teams within departments and perform traditional tasks like managing schedules, correspondence, filing, data entry, developing and running reports, and other department-specific activities.

At our Consolidated Call Center in Rhode Island our colleagues provide service and information to customers regarding all types of inquiries related to CVS/pharmacy stores, retail store programs and CVS.com.

The Retail Pharmacy Customer Care Center team, made up of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service representatives, supports our stores and customers by handling phone inquires, refills, clinical questions, as well as other pharmacy related requests. This innovative Retail Pharmacy Customer Care Center will allow our store pharmacy teams to spend more time assisting our in-store customers, and provide more one-on-one service, while the center will focus on servicing the customers with phone requests, providing a level of service that will exceed our customer’s expectations.

The Customer Service Representative works as part of the Pharmacy Call Center team to ensure that each patient has a positive service experience with CVS/pharmacy. They ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service in alignment with company vision, mission and value
