Nursing within the Pharmacy Benefit Management business unit is centered on patient education and disease management. The ultimate goal of our nurses is to teach patients how to improve their health and have the best quality of life possible while managing their diseases. Whether in person or by phone, all of our Nurses celebrate and champion our company’s vision on improving the quality of human life.
Our Disease Management Nurse Educators are phone-based positions connecting with patients to assess their knowledge and provide education on their chronic and/or genetic diseases, disorders and prescribed therapy.
Telehealth Nurses support or relationships with drug manufacturers and manage inbound calls from patients, caregivers, nurses, doctors or pharmacists providing information on specific disease states, related therapies and adverse reactions. Our Telehealth Nurses become experts in the disease state they support, working with cutting-edge medicine and new state-of-the-art drugs.
Our Clinical Nurse Educators provide one-on-one education to patients, caregivers or other health care professionals on particular disease states and supporting therapies. These positions usually require at least 50 percent travel covering a geographic territory for initiating patient education.
Infusion Home Care Nurses travel to patient’s homes providing high-end infusion therapy (hemophilia, TPN, IVIG, Remicaid, etc.). Pediatric experience is essential given it represents more than 40 percent of all patients. Positions are centric to Houston, Texas; Dallas, Texas; and Alabama.
