Employee Volunteerism 2

Employees

CVS Caremark colleagues have shown a strong desire to help their communities and CVS Caremark supports their efforts in a variety of ways. Our colleagues have embraced opportunities to volunteer in their communities and log thousands of volunteer hours each year. Among other activities, we engage our colleagues through participation in company-sponsored events and programs in each communtiy, including Easter Seals Walk With Me events, Boundless Playgrounds projects and VSA art programs. In addition to recognizing and rewarding our colleagues’ volunteer efforts, CVS Caremark supports employees by offering corporate scholarships to help fund college or university tuition for their children.

CVS Caremark Corporate Scholarships – For children of Full-Time Colleagues

2012 Application Available Now.

CVS Caremark has a long tradition of supporting the academic aspirations of young scholars. One of the ways we achieve this is by offering children of full-time employees the opportunity to apply for a CVS Caremark Corporate Scholarship, funded by the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust. The future success of our company, the health of our community, and the overall prosperity of our economy relies heavily on our educational system and its accessibility to students. We are proud that this program has helped hundreds of students achieve their goal of furthering their education.  Applications deadline for 2012 is May 4th.

We’re proud of our colleagues’ commitment to volunteerism, which is why we created the CVS Caremark Community Crew volunteer program. This program supports our colleagues in the wide variety of ways they give back to the community, whether its supporting children with disabilities, volunteering at a local food bank, or mentoring a student. Through an online database, the program helps colleagues find volunteer opportunities across the country. It also supports volunteers by awarding CVS Caremark Volunteer Challenge Grants, and provides t-shirts and other items needed when our associates volunteer.
