CVS Names Carol DeNale Vice President and Corporate Treasurer
WOONSOCKET, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2006--CVS Corporation (NYSE: CVS) announced today that it has promoted Carol DeNale to the position of Vice President and Corporate Treasurer. DeNale joined the Company in 1997 and most recently served as Assistant Treasurer.
"Carol has made significant contributions to CVS/pharmacy in positions of growing responsibility in Treasury," said David Rickard, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. "Her experience in the organization will be vital as we continue to grow our business."
In her new role, DeNale will direct and oversee the Company's risk management, cash management, capital expenditure, balance sheet forecast and leasing functions. Most recently, DeNale played a primary role in arranging and securing the financing for CVS/pharmacy acquisitions of both Eckerd and Osco/Sav-on. The latest acquisition of approximately 700 standalone Sav-on and Osco drugstores gives CVS/pharmacy immediate market leadership in the fast-growing southern California market and boosts its share in key Midwest markets. Prior to joining CVS/pharmacy, DeNale worked for Waban Inc., which was the parent company for BJ's Wholesale Club.
