CVS/pharmacy Re-Opens 64 Stores in Louisiana
All of CVS/pharmacy's locations in Mississippi, Alabama, Texas and the Florida panhandle are open.
CVS/pharmacy also announced that it is donating more than 5,000 PLAYSKOOL Baby Care brand diapers and over 14,000 baby wipes to Save the Children for their Hurricane Gustav relief efforts in Louisiana.
In addition, CVS/pharmacy will donate ice and water to local residents at select stores in Baton Rouge on Thursday and in Baton Rouge, Houma and Kenner on Friday. Two bags of ice and two gallons of water per person at each location will be available while supplies last.
On Thursday, September 4, donations will take place in the CVS/pharmacy parking lot located at 5360 Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge beginning at 3:00 PM CST. On Friday, September 5, donations will take place in the CVS/pharmacy parking lots at: -- 3384 Government St. in Baton Rouge at 10:00 AM CST -- 7015 West Park Ave. in Houma at 3:00 PM CST -- 820 West Esplanade Ave. in Kenner at 3:00 PM CST"CVS/pharmacy is pleased to do its part to assist with the hurricane relief effort," said Denny Tewell, CVS/pharmacy's Area Vice President for Louisiana. "Thousands of Louisiana residents have had no access to basic goods such as water, ice and diapers. We hope these donations will help our communities recover from Hurricane Gustav."
