CVS diversity in the workplace

CVS Caremark’s diversity story is a rich one. It’s one in which our diverse workforce shows a relentless commitment every day to helping an equally diverse population of customers, patients and clients.

It’s just one of the reasons why CVS Caremark is a new kind of health care company. What we do as a company is unique. No other company is reinventing pharmacy quite like we are. We are simply not like the others.

And our employees are why.

Like CVS Caremark, they’re unique. They’ve got all kinds of opinions and lots of different ways of getting the job done. And we like it that way. In fact, we encourage it. Here people come as they are. Every day, to our retail stores and distribution facilities, to our corporate offices and our health clinics, they bring an endless expanse of talents and experiences, creating a pharmacy innovation company founded on the collective greatness our differences deliver.

We celebrate differences in  age, gender, family status, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, appearance, thought and mannerisms. But our commitment to diversity is never relegated to the fine print. We display it proudly, and believe a better, more innovative company is only possible when the power of our differences is unleashed and lived, day in and day out.

We may have one name, but there is no single face of CVS Caremark. Our 200,000 employees touch the lives of millions of Americans in many different ways. There is, however, a singular focus, something we all share: a commitment to make health care better for everyone.

“There isn’t a day that goes by that I am not impressed by how diverse our workforce is and by how that diversity transforms the communities we serve; but more importantly, how that appreciation of differences is a non-negotiable part of our culture, one that isn’t forced, but willingly achieved together.”
